My favorite sites.

1. Youtube. Visit Youtube.

I like Youtube because there are a lot of videos on a variety of topics. I use these sites to watch sitcoms and dramas in America such as Friends, Gossip Girls, etc. Also, there are a lot of music videos which I like a lot. (Not much these days, though.) After Youtube launched the Korean version, more people started visiting this site for videos. Not only movies of singers and actors, but people can also film themselves and upload the completed video on Youtube. However, not all videos are fun to look at. There are some movies that are related to violence and some rated-R videos. Of course, these kinds of videos that could cause a problem are deleted but since people can film anything, these types of noneducational videos are likely to be added.

2. Facebook. Visit Facebook.

I used to use Myspace about a year ago but I started using Facebook instead. I like Facebook because there are more widgets to add and I don't need to upload a blog entry for my friends to read. Just like myspace, I can upload pictures here and keep in touch with my friends. One thing I don't like Facebook is people I've never seen before add me as their friend and some people even send me personal messages saying that they want to be my friend. All I need to do is just click ignore, but it's still worse than not getting invitations from people I don't know. I think Facebook is more convenient than Myspace. Besides, more people use Facebook than Myspace these days.

I know that this site is just a movie site. However, I often visit this site because I love watching movies. When I visit this site, I just scan the movies that are playing and that are going to be released soon. I click the ones I want to watch and those movies move to my personal page. I can also buy tickets online and choose where I want to sit. This site is convenient because I don't need to wait in line trying to buy tickets. It also provides all movies that were released before. Therefore, I can watch some movies that I wasn't able to watch before. It's a little expensive to watch movies these days, but I love watching movies whenever I can.

These three sites are my favorite sites. Youtube also helps me keep up with what's going on in the world because the main page shows videos that get a lot of attention from Youtube users. Other two sites are just for my pleasure and I am thankful that there's an easy way to keep in touch with my friends abroad rather then calling and sending mails which cost a lot to do.

  1. Very good write-up. Wish you had provided links, though. For example, I went to cgv.com and it's a totally different site (unless you enjoy drinking wine while watching movies). The biggest English-language movie site is imdb.com - I get most of my information there.
(Don't you think it would be more convenient if you had the "recent comments" show up in the sidebar rather than at the bottom of the page?)

  2. Thank you for your comment, professor. I put links to all of my favorite sites. I also visit imdb.com, but I feel more comfortable with CGV.co.kr. I think I do because..maybe because I can purchase tickets right away and I somehow feel like imdb.com is a little less organized than CGV.co.kr. Since I have no idea why I put "recent comments" at the bottom, I should move it to the side. Thanks again for your suggestion, professor.
